About CarolineI was born and raised in New Orleans and I am passionate about fitness and family!
My most prized accomplishment was having my son, Scout, in 2007. My husband, Micka, is my number one cheerleader and without his support, I wouldn't be where I am today❣ After I graduated from LSU (Geaux Tigers!), I moved to San Francisco to get my Masters in Psychology. I always knew I wanted to "help" people but it wasn't until I moved back to New Orleans that I realized my true passion was helping people through fitness. I was involved in athletics growing up, playing volleyball and running track. I always belonged to a gym, but would only lift cute little pink dumbbells and mindlessly hop on the stair master with a magazine for an hour or two😱 never noticing any worthy results. So, after I had my son, I began doing my own research to find the best workout for me. I tried them all...P90x, Insanity, Bootcamp, Spinning, Step Aerobics, and any At Home workout DVD I could get my hands on. I definitely saw results, but I knew I could do better, so my search continued. I was looking for the perfect blend of power, core, strength and conditioning all wrapped up into one time efficient workout. I decided to work towards my Personal Trainer certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), which gave me the knowledge and confidence to start creating workouts that were backed by science and personal experience. Soon after I got certified, my own Bootcamp instructor asked if I wanted to start teaching classes at his new gym he was about to open, Cypress Fitness, and take over his Bootcamp classes at the JCC. Now, this is where it all truly begins to become my new reality! I then got my AFFA group exercise certification and started teaching group classes as well as some personal and small group training. I was now able to put my workouts to the test and help other people find a workout they could stick to and see results! I fell in love with creating these workouts and sharing them with my classes. I developed a loyal following (you know who you are😉) who encouraged me to create this blog. Now I can share my workouts with everyone and if you cant make it to class, you have no excuses!😜 If you are looking for a fresh routine that will deliver results, you have come to the right place.
